Individual therapy sessions are designed to address the client's unique challenges and goals. Sessions are centered around understanding people's experiences, fostering self-awareness, and developing effective skills to deal with thoughts, emotions, relationships and life in general.
Family relationships can be very complex and emotionally challenging. Families will get a chance to learn to define the problem, understand patterns of interactions, increase their communication skills, and learn to navigate conflict successfully.
Teenagers are often misunderstood. They are constantly experiencing all kinds of changes, which makes it difficult for them to know who they are, what they need, or what they want. I am here to help them explore their experiences and make sense of them. I also focus on empowering them to learn the tools they need to navigate through life.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills provide a set of tools that can help people in many aspects of their lives. Mindfulness is the cornerstone of all, because if we are not aware, we cannot actually do much. Along with mindfulness, this group also teaches distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal regulation.
Just like the above, but adapted for teens.
